Requirements and Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Python
- Demonstrated experience as an NLP Engineer or in a similar capacity
- Extensive hands-on experience in developing NLP-based applications
- In-depth understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction, data structures, and modeling
- Proven expertise in Natural Language Understanding (NLU), particularly in intent recognition
- Comprehensive knowledge of text representation techniques (e.g., n-grams, bag of words, sentiment analysis), statistical methods, and classification algorithms
- Ability to write robust, testable, and maintainable code
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Creative and methodical approach to solving complex language-related challenges
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, or a related field
- Linguistic knowledge, including understanding language structure, semantics, and syntax, is advantageous
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Integrate NLP models into applications and platforms to ensure seamless user interaction and tangible real-world impact
- Develop and optimize Text to SQL models to facilitate effortless querying of databases using natural language
- Enhance NLU systems to improve human language understanding, including intent recognition and clarification question generation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop applications or assistants leveraging LLMs
- Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP and apply them to enhance existing systems
- Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance of NLP models and iterate based on findings
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Document processes, models, and experiments comprehensively for future reference and reproducibility
